## Product

ImgTurbo is a focused, free raster-image converter operated by Dynamic
Foundries. It handles one supported file on the visitor's device. The standard
value proposition is a direct conversion workflow with explicit limits and a
measured result; privacy and European operation are supporting trust facts.

## Processing contract

1. The visitor chooses or pastes one JPEG, PNG or WebP file.
2. The browser decodes it into an image and Canvas redraws the pixels.
3. Optional transformations resize, rotate, flip, grayscale or select the
   background used when transparent pixels become JPEG.
4. Canvas requests JPEG, PNG or, when supported, WebP output.
5. The application verifies that the returned Blob media type matches the
   requested type. A browser fallback is not downloaded with a false extension.
   Unsupported formats are not relabeled as successful outputs.
6. The result reports its actual bytes, dimensions and percentage difference.

Limits enforced by code: one file, maximum 31,457,280 source bytes, maximum
40,000,000 decoded/output pixels and maximum 16,384 pixels on either side.

## Format decisions

### JPEG

JPEG uses adjustable lossy compression and has no alpha channel. ImgTurbo fills
the output canvas with the visitor's selected color before drawing a
transparent source. Lower quality can reduce bytes while removing more detail.

### PNG

PNG is lossless raster output and supports transparency. Converting a JPEG to
PNG does not recover information already discarded by JPEG, and a photographic
PNG can be larger than its source.

### WebP

WebP supports lossy/lossless compression and transparency. The visitor's
browser supplies decoding and encoding; ImgTurbo detects encoder support. An
animated input is treated as a still image and animation is not preserved.

## Privacy and analytics

Image bytes, filename, dimensions, settings and result are not sent to
ImgTurbo's server by the converter. Source/result Blob URLs exist in the local
browser context and are revoked when replaced. Optional Google Analytics loads
only after consent, receives no image bytes/settings, and is configured with
origin plus path rather than the full location. A first-party consent cookie
stores accepted/refused for one year. Normal page delivery can still produce
HTTP access/security logs containing request metadata.

## Not supported

ImgTurbo does not claim batching, GIF/BMP/TIFF/ICO/SVG/HEIC/RAW/AVIF/PDF
output, animation preservation, vectorization, professional resampling,
metadata preservation, professional color management, a fixed size reduction,
or quality improvement.
